At this point, the ruffle is one long piece, but we need 3 sections of ruffle for the bedspread, one for the footboard, and one for each side. We’ll need to cut the ruffle into 3 sections. I don’t like to do that too early, because you want the cuts to be in the correct location. As you are pinning the ruffle onto the foot of the bedspread, when you have about 1 foot left to pin, measure how much more of the ruffle you will need for the footboard ruffle and add one inch. Cut the ruffle at that point. For the section of ruffle you have pinned to piece A, you now have a raw end (where you just cut it) that needs to be hemmed. With an iron, press that end over ½ inch, then fold it over one more time and press again. Pin the hem in place. Remove the ruffler attachment from your machine and place your normal presser foot back on. Sew the hem in place. Remove pins.
